Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points despite a bad shooting night (5 of 17) for the Mavericks, who have won consecutive games against Houston. Rodrigue Beaubouis had 14 points and Brandan Wright 13.

The Mavericks won 101-99 in overtime on Saturday night in Houston, which played at home again Monday and needed overtime to beat Sacramento.

Luis Scola had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Rockets, while Goran Dragic scored 17 points. Chandler Parsons had 15 points and nine rebounds.

A turnover by Houston led to a breakaway layup by Terry with 6:39 left in the third quarter. The Mavs still trailed after Terry got credit for a layup after a goaltending call against Samuel Dalembert, but Terry then swished a 3-pointer from the top of the key for a 55-53 lead with 5:39 left in the quarter, their first lead since the game's opening minutes.

Those seven points in a row by Terry, who finished with 12 points and four assists, started a 19-6 run for Dallas.

Jason Kidd had a mistake, a turnover that led to a running layup by Dragic to tie it at 55, before he quickly redeemed himself with a 3-pointer that put the Mavs ahead to stay.

Lamar Odom had nine points, his most in his last nine games for Dallas, with four rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes. That included a driving wraparound layup during that third-quarter run.

Nowitzki drove for a layup with 6 seconds left in the first half, and the Mavericks trailed only 49-46 — the closest they had been since 3 minutes into the game.

Dallas ended the half with a 16-10 run over the last 5:32, with Nowitzki scoring 11 points.

Nowitzki made 11 of 12 free throws, 10 of the attempts coming before halftime.

Even after two overtime games the previous three nights, and again without guards Kyle Lowry and Kevin Martin, the Rockets jumped out to a quick 15-4 lead.

Dragic and Courtney Lee had consecutive 3s to cap a 15-2 run after Ian Mahinmi took a pass from Nowitzki and scored on the first shot of the game.

The Rockets had their largest lead, 26-10, after a 3-pointer by Chase Budinger with 3 minutes left in the first quarter. And Dallas already had four turnovers, half of their total from the overtime victory Saturday night, with four made baskets at that time.

Bucks 108, Hawks 101

MILWAUKEE (AP) — Monta Ellis scored 33 points, including 17 in the fourth quarter, as the Milwaukee Bucks held off the Atlanta Hawks 108-101 on Tuesday night.

Brandon Jennings added 18 points for the Bucks, who moved to within two games of the idle New York Knicks for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Ellis, who has struggled since coming over in a trade from Golden State on March 14, tied a season low with four points against the Knicks on Monday. On Tuesday, he made 15-of-24 shots, including 7-of-9 in the fourth quarter, sealing the victory with a 15-foot jumper with 1:27 remaining. He added eight assists.

Josh Smith led the Hawks with 30 points and 18 rebounds. Joe Johnson finished with 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting.

76ers 103, Cavaliers 85

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jodie Meeks scored a career-high 31 points and Jrue Holiday had 19 to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 103-85 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Evan Turner scored 12 points for the Sixers, who moved a half-game ahead of Boston and back into sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Division. The Sixers have held the top spot in the Atlantic for all but a few days early in the season.

The Sixers romped without forward Andre Iguodala, who missed his second straight game because of left patella tendinitis. Meeks started in his place and made the most of his opportunity, making 7 of 10 3-pointers.

Anthony Parker scored 14 points and Kyrie Irving had 12 for the Cavaliers, who dropped their fourth straight.

Grizzlies 93, Timberwolves 86

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Rudy Gay scored 21 points, Dante Cunningham added season highs of 13 points and 14 rebounds, and the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 93-86 on Tuesday night.

Cunningham, inserted into the starting lineup after All-Star center Marc Gasol sat out with a sprained right ankle, was 6 of 9 from the field as all five Memphis starters finished in double figures.

Marreese Speights had 18 points for Memphis, Tony Allen finished with 13, and Mike Conley had 12 points and eight assists as the Grizzlies won their second straight.

Kevin Love led Minnesota with 28 points and 11 rebounds, while Wayne Ellington scored 15 points, shooting 6 of 10. Derrick Williams added 14 points for the Timberwolves, who have lost six of eight.
