Ty Lawson tied a season high with 27 points, Arron Afflalo added 22, and the Nuggets shot 50 percent to beat the Bulls 108-91 in Chicago on Monday night.

Denver, playing its third game in four nights as part of a seven-game road swing, got its first win three games into the trip. Al Harrington added 17 points and Andre Miller chipped in 12 points and 10 assists for the Nuggets, who are scrapping for a playoff spot.

C.J. Watson and John Lucas III scored 17 points each for the Bulls. Chicago guard Derrick Rose sat out his seventh straight game with a groin injury and the Bulls seemed to be out of sync most of the night, especially on defense.

Chicago leads the NBA with 40 wins and has clinched a playoff spot. The Bulls are 12-5 without the reigning MVP.

Denver, the league's highest-scoring team, got the final six points of the second quarter and then started the third on a 10-0 run to take a 64-52 lead, one it would build to 16 later in the quarter.

The Bulls went nearly five minutes before hitting their first second-half field goal.

Rockets 113, Kings 106:

Patrick Patterson scored a career-high 24 points and Earl Boykins hit four free throws for host Houston late in overtime. ... DeMarcus Cousins scored a career-high 38 points and had 14 rebounds, and Marcus Thornton added 27 points for Sacramento.

Clippers 97, Hornets 85:

Chris Paul had 25 points and 10 assists against his former team, leading host Los Angeles. ... Blake Griffin added 20 points and seven rebounds to help the Clippers climb two games back of the Pacific Division-leading Lakers.

Jazz 105, Nets 84:

Paul Millsap had 24 points and 13 rebounds and visiting Utah shook off the weariness from its four-overtime loss 24 hours earlier. ... The Jazz won for the seventh time in eight games and kept hold of one of the last playoff spots in the Western Conference.

Pacers 105, Heat 90:

Danny Granger scored 25 points to lead host Indiana. ... Darren Collison added 20 points, and Paul George had 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Pacers. ... Miami's LeBron James had 24 points and nine rebounds.

Celtics 102, Bobcats 95:

Paul Pierce scored a season-high 36 points and visiting Boston moved into a first-place tie with Philadelphia in the Atlantic Division. ... Pierce shot 10-for-20 from the field and added 10 rebounds.

Magic 117, Raptors 101:

Cal's Ryan Anderson had 28 points and a career-best eight three-pointers for visiting Orlando, which got 23 points from Dwight Howard.

Knicks 89, Bucks 80:

Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points, delivering his highest total in two months without the injured Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, and host New York increased its lead for the final Eastern Conference playoff berth to 2 1/2 games over Milwaukee. ... Baron Davis scored 13 points in his first start in place of Lin, who has a sore right knee.

Pistons 79, Wizards 77:

Rodney Stuckey scored half of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, including the winning jumper with 0.2 of a second left, and visiting Detroit ended a five-game skid.
