Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, and Pau Gasol added 27 points and 9 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers stopped the host Dallas Mavericks' four-game winning streak with a 109-93 victory Wednesday night.

The Nets' Sundiata Gaines caught between the Wizards' Shelvin Mack, left, and Jan Vesely.

Ramon Sessions contributed 17 points and 9 assists in his fourth game for the Lakers since he was acquired in a trade with Cleveland on March 15.

Dirk Nowitzki had 26 points and 10 rebounds, and Jason Terry scored 23 points for the defending champion Mavericks, who are 0-3 against the Lakers this season.

The Lakers ended a two-game skid and have won six of eight over all.

WIZARDS 108, NETS 89 Nene had 22 points and 10 rebounds in his Washington debut, and the Wizards won a game in Newark marred by the third-quarter ejections of Nets guard Deron Williams and Coach Avery Johnson.

Williams and Johnson were ejected by the referee Josh Tiven with 5 minutes 18 seconds left in the third quarter for arguing a noncall on Williams's drive to the basket seconds earlier. Tiven appeared to call all four technical fouls.

Williams had 17 points for the Nets, who have lost four in a row.

NUGGETS 116, PISTONS 115 The newly acquired JaVale McGee rebounded a missed free throw after a basket with five seconds remaining and dunked to give host Denver the win after the Nuggets blew a 25-point lead.

Detroit's Ben Gordon scored 45 points and made all nine of his 3-point attempts.

MAGIC 103, SUNS 93 Two nights after scoring only 59 points, host Orlando received big offensive performances from Ryan Anderson and Dwight Howard and held off Phoenix.

Anderson hit seven 3-pointers and scored 29 points. Howard added 28 points and 16 rebounds.

Orlando lost at Chicago, 85-59, on Monday. This time the Magic led by 22 points before the Suns surged with less than five minutes to play. But Orlando, which was 11 for 23 beyond the 3-point arc, strung together enough baskets down the stretch.

SPURS 116, TIMBERWOLVES 100 Tim Duncan had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and San Antonio beat visiting Minnesota despite playing most of the game without its All-Star guard, Tony Parker. He left with tightness in his left hamstring with 8:03 left in the first half.

Parker has missed two games this season for the Spurs, who lost the backup T. J. Ford to retirement this month. With Parker out, Gary Neal, who scored 16 points against Minnesota, is the primary backup point guard.

Kevin Love had 17 points and 12 rebounds for his league-leading 40th double-double.

THUNDER 114, CLIPPERS 91 Kevin Durant had 32 points and 9 rebounds, and Russell Westbrook added 19 points as host Oklahoma City shut down Blake Griffin and Los Angeles.

Playing in his hometown, Griffin was held to a career-low 7 points in the rematch of a Clippers victory perhaps best remembered for his emphatic dunk over Kendrick Perkins. Griffin had no dunks in this one.

Derek Fisher, who won five N.B.A. titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, signed with the Thunder and had 5 points in 19 minutes.

BULLS 94, RAPTORS 82 John Lucas scored all 13 of his points in the fourth quarter and Luol Deng had 17 points and 10 rebounds as Chicago rallied to win at Toronto.

Chicago, which has the best record in the N.B.A. at 39-10, won for the fourth time in five games without its leading scorer, Derrick Rose, who is sidelined with a sore right groin.

HAWKS 103, CAVALIERS 102 Atlanta's Joe Johnson hit a tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation and sank a baseline jumper with 10 seconds left in overtime to beat Cleveland. Josh Smith led the Hawks with 32 points and 17 rebounds.

WARRIORS 101, HORNETS 92 The rookie Klay Thompson scored a career-high 27 points and David Lee added 25 as Golden State ended a four-game losing streak by winning at New Orleans. Jarrett Jack had his first career triple-double for the Hornets with 17 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds.

HEAT GET HELP AT CENTER Ronny Turiaf, a 6-foot-10 center, signed with the Heat. He was waived by Denver this month after being included in a three-team trade involving the Wizards, the Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers.

RUBIO HAS SURGERY Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio had surgery at a clinic in Vail, Colo., to reconstruct two torn ligaments in his left knee.
