Easter egg hunts offer fun for kids - Indianapolis Star

Get ready to hop over to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on April 7 for the IMS Kids Club's second annual Easter egg hunt.

The free event, for kids 12 and younger, begins at 10 a.m. and will feature thousands of candy-filled eggs and raffles for tickets to the Indianapolis 500, Brickyard 400 and Red Bull Indianapolis GP.

The event, which will be inside Turn 2, next to the IMS Hall of Fame Museum, is open to the public, but attendees must register in advance. Go to http://imskidsclubeasterevent.eventbrite .com for more information and to register.

Indianapolis

Bring a non-perishable food item to donate and your Easter basket and participate in a free egg hunt at Tuxedo Park Baptist Church, 29 N. Grant Ave. Event will feature games and a special appearance by the Easter Bunny. For prekindergarten through fifth grade. When: 2 p.m. March 31.

A free Easter egg hunt at First Baptist Church, 8600 N. College Ave., is sponsored by the North Central Kiwanis Club. The event will feature games, face-painting and prizes, with more than 5,000 eggs to find. When: 1 p.m. April 7.

Fishers

The Kiwanis Club of Fishers Station will host its 30th annual Easter egg hunt at Holland Park, 11650 Holland Drive. Bring your camera and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. For second-graders and younger. When: Noon, April 7.

Plainfield

The Plainfield Aquatics Center (651 Vestal Road) will host an underwater Easter egg hunt. Participants will dive for plastic eggs to be redeemed for prizes. Cost is included with a swim pass to the park, from $4.25 to $8.75, depending on residency and age. For complete admission price list, go to www.townofplainfield.com. When: 1 p.m. April 7.
