When it comes to raising money for a good cause, some Michiana teenagers know how to get the ball rolling.
Sunday was the Family Room Fun Day for the Ronald McDonald House charities.
What is striking about this event is that it was organized entirely by volunteer teenagers.
The Fun Day was three full hours of unlimited bowling, go-karts and golf at Strikes and Spares in Mishawaka.
The Family Room getting the proceeds is the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Memorial Children's Hospital, which provides housing for families of hospitalized children.
This is a cause these teens are happy to get behind.
Lauren Garatoni, President of the Ronald McDonald House Teen Board, says, "I'm the oldest of 6 kids, and I'm very fortunate that we haven't had to use the facilities there, but some of my family members have, and I know stories of people who have had to go there and stay for long periods of time, and it's just a great organization, and what they do is so amazing for the families, especially when they're having such difficulties with being in the hospital."
The Fun Day was the Family Room's biggest fundraiser of the year, raising close to $7,000.
