The much vaunted IPL 2012 got its share of glamour when the Bollywood beauties Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Prachi Desai, Neha Dhupia, Preity Zinta and Sameera Reddy took centrestage, doing jhatka-matka and enthralling the audience at the opening ceremony of Subrata Roy Stadium in Pune.
The gala event also had Amitabh Bachchan as the star attraction besides the performances of the actresses. Never before at a cricket event did so many actresses perform live in front of thousands. The dances were choreographed by Ganesh Hegde and every actress represented a different Indian state. So there was a delectable potpourri of dance styles, adaa, and costumes from all across the country.
If Priyanka Chopra rocked in lavani, Bipasha Basu did Dola Re; then there was Sameera Reddy taking the stage by storm with her Nakka Mukka moves. Prachi Desai brought raas to Pune while Preity Zinta created the charm of Kashmir valley with her beauty and dance.
Representing Punjab was the Sri Lankan hottie Jacqueline Fernandez who surprised the audiences with her Punjabi gidda, and depicting the Nawab city of Hyderabad was Dia Mirza. The actress danced to Aadab Arz Hai from Tees Maar Khan.
