Magic-Heat Game Review

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade poured in 14 points in the fourth quarter en route to a game-high 31 to lift Miami to a 91-81 victory over the Orlando Magic at American Airlines Arena on Sunday.

"My teammates did a good job of finding me in different places, but I was very aggressive as well," Wade remarked about his big fourth quarter. "I was just trying to do what I'm able to do to help us win."

Chris Bosh added 23 points and seven rebounds, and LeBron James filled the stat sheet with 14 points, 12 boards, seven assists and five steals as the Heat notched their 13th straight home victory -- their longest since a 14-game run Jan. 22-March 16, 2007.

Dwight Howard scored 18 and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Orlando while Quentin Richardson added five three-pointers off the bench for 15 points. Jameer Nelson and Jason Richardson chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively, for the Magic, who have dropped two of their last three contests.

"Why we came in such a game and didn't bring any effort early is hard to understand," said Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy. "We just did not come to play."

The Heat entered the fourth quarter leading by just four, but Wade netted 12 of their first 14 points in the frame to help extend their lead to 81-73, as they slowly started to pull away.

Bosh added a three-point play to press the lead to 11 and Shane Battier added the final dagger with a triple that gave Miami an 87-75 lead with two minutes left.

Earlier, Howard gave the Magic a 7-6 lead, but Miami reeled off a 17-5 surge to take a 23-12 advantage with four minutes left in the first.

Bosh lead all scorers with 12 points in the first quarter to help Miami to a 31-22 edge after one.

Howard finished a layup with 5:08 left in the first half to spark a 9-1 run for the Magic, who found themselves down just 50-47 heading into the locker room.

Jason Richardson tallied five straight on the tail end of a 10-2 Magic run that provided the visitors with a 57-54 lead less than four minutes into the third stanza.

The lead remained at three just three minutes later when a Bosh layup ignited a 9-2 sprint that gave the Heat a 67-63 edge after three quarters of play.
