A strained
groin will keep
Bulls guard
Derrick Rose sidelined for a third consecutive game.
Tom Thibodeau ruled out the reigning MVP prior to Saturday night's game against the 76ers at the United Center. The Bulls coach also ruled out Rip Hamilton, who has dealt with a host of injuries this season.
C.J. Watson will replace Rose in the starting lineup.
Thibodeau noted that Rose has not done much other than rehab while nursing the groin injury. He was asked about the possibility of Rose returning for Monday's game at Orlando.
"I don't know. We'll see,'' Thibodeau said. "He's day to day.''
Rose watched from the bench Friday night as the Bulls fell to the Trail Blazers 100-89. The Bulls were outscored 22-10 in the fourth quarter.
"It was a misstep by us,'' said Thibodeau, who added he would stick to the same starting lineup Saturday despite the poor performance against Portland. "We have to be ready tonight.''
