Chicago forward Luol Deng, left, scored 22 points in the Bulls' 98-77 win over the Hawks on Wednesday night at Atlanta.

Deng was 5 of 8 from beyond the arc and the Bulls finished 9 of 16 overall to improve their NBA-best record away from home to 21-6, even while missing star Derrick Rose for the eighth straight game with a shoulder injury. The Bulls haven't missed a beat, winning six times without their MVP.

Chicago built an 18-point lead in the second quarter. The Hawks scored the final six points of the half, then started the third quarter on a 10-2 run to get to 56-52.

It was all Bulls from there. They ripped off 20 of the next 26 points.

Timberwolves 88, Bobcats 83

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kevin Love had 40 points and 19 rebounds to lift Minnesota past Charlotte.

Love scored 14 points in the fourth quarter and the Timberwolves (25-27) led the entire second half to win a game they had to have.

Love entered the game averaging 30.6 points in March. He has scored at least 20 points in 14 of 15 games and has nine straight double-doubles.

Luke Ridnour had a season-high 14 assists and added 15 points.

Corey Maggette had 22 points, and Kemba Walker added 20 for the Bobcats (7-41), who lost their fifth straight and remain the only NBA team with fewer than 10 wins this season.

Celtics 94, Jazz 82

BOSTON — Kevin Garnett scored 23 points and added 10 rebounds, and Rajon Rondo had 14 assists to lead Boston to a victory over Utah.

The win was Boston's fifth in six tries. The Celtics moved into a tie with the Philadelphia 76ers atop the Atlantic Division.

Former Celtic Al Jefferson had 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Jazz, scoring 10 in a 17-3 third-quarter run that turned an 18-point deficit into a two-possession game. The Jazz tied it early in the fourth before Boston scored the next seven points — with Garnett contributing on all of them — to pull away.

Utah had won seven of its previous eight games.

Nets 100, Pacers 84

NEWARK, N.J. — Deron Williams had 30 points and nine assists and injury-ravaged New Jersey beat Indiana in a game the Nets finished with eight healthy players.

Rookie MarShon Brooks added 17 points and Gerald Green had 14 as the woeful Nets won for the second time in eight games and handed the Pacers their second loss in six. The 16-point margin of victory was the largest of the season for New Jersey (17-35).

The Nets started the game with only 10 healthy players and lost starting center Shelden Williams with an injury to his right eye in the second quarter and backup center Jordan Williams with concussion-like symptoms in the third.

Paul George had 22 points to lead Indiana.

Raptors 105, Nuggets 96

TORONTO — Andrea Bargnani scored 26 points, Jose Calderon had 10 points and 10 assists and Toronto snapped a nine-game losing streak against Denver.

Toronto's two former Nuggets had big games. Gary Forbes had 11 points and 10 rebounds and Linas Kleiza scored 15 points. DeMar DeRozan added 17 points as the Raptors beat Denver for the first time since March 23, 2007.

Ty Lawson had 26 points and nine assists, Arron Afflalo scored 13 and Wilson Chandler had 13 for the Nuggets, who came in 13-1 against Eastern Conference opponents this season. Denver's only other loss to an Eastern team was a 100-99 home loss to Cleveland on March 7.

Pistons 87, Cavaliers 75

CLEVELAND — Tayshaun Prince matched a season high with 29 points and rookie Brandon Knight added 16 to help Detroit beat Cleveland, handing the Cavaliers their fifth straight loss.

Prince made four 3-pointers and added eight rebounds for the Pistons, who closed with an 11-4 run after the Cavs got within five.

Rookie Kyrie Irving had 20 points with 9 rebounds and 6 assists for Cleveland, which has dropped eight of nine.

Irving's jumper made it 76-71 with 4:08 left, but Knight hit a 3-pointer, Jason Maxiell grabbed a rebound and dunked and Prince hit a short hook.

Greg Monroe added 10 rebounds for the Pistons, who scored more than 80 points for the first time in four games.
