The Central Division rivals met for the fifth time this season when they hit the ice Tuesday night at the United Center. The teams split the first four contests this season in games that have been rough-and-tumble affairs.
St. Louis, which leads the NHL with 97 points, is playing the second of a seven-game road trip while the Hawks are looking to improve on their 23-7-5 home record and put some distance on the seventh-place Phoenix Coyotes in the Western Conference postseason race.
Ray Emery is in goal for the Hawks and is opposed by Jaroslav Halak for the Blues, who entered with an overall record of 45-18-7 and a road mark of 16-14-3.
