Fun for all promised for Pakistan National Day - gulfnews.com Mar 20th 2012, 20:22 The members of Pakistani community in the UAE will celebrate Pakistan National Day on Friday with traditional fervour and enthusiasm Staff Report Dubai: The members of Pakistani community in the UAE will celebrate Pakistan National Day on Friday with traditional fervour and enthusiasm. The main flag-hoisting ceremony will be held at the premises of Pakistan Embassy, Abu Dhabi at 8.30am on Friday where Jamil Ahmad Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan, will hoist the national flag in the presence of a large gathering of Pakistani community members. Khan has urged the community members to attend the ceremony along with their families. Another ceremony will be held the same morning at 9am at the premises of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai where Tariq Iqbal Soomro, the Consul General, will unfurl the national flag. An exhibition of 30 paintings called "Flowers" by Mona Naqsh, a famous painter from Pakistan, will be held from March 24-28 at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) atrium. To mark the day, Pakistan Association, Dubai, is organising a host of activities for the community. There will be four-day Meena Bazar, children's activities, sports events, Education Expo and health awareness events at the association from 4pm to 11pm. Consul General Somro is to inaugurate the Meena Bazaar today. The Meena Bazaar will have attractions for families and children including clowns, magicians, bouncy castles, a national song competition, dress competition, face painting, drawing and an art competition, best project, from various schools, an ice cream eating competition, fun games, karate, lucky draws and a food corner.
