Sunday will mark the third annual "Seahawks 12K Run at The Landing," an event that also includes a 5K run/walk, a half-mile dash for kids and some spirit building from members of the NFL franchise.
Proceeds will benefit A Better Seattle, which helps at-risk children.
The 12K begins at Renton's The Landing, a commercial-residential development at 828 N. 10th Place, traverses along the shore of Lake Washington and around the Seahawks training facility, known as the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.
The event, which drew more than 3,000 participants last year, will also feature: Seahawk players; the Seahawks mascot, Blitz; members of the Sea Gals, the Seahawks dance team; and Blue Thunder, the Seahawks drum line.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and the 12K and 5K races start at 9 a.m. The kids half-mile run (for 10 and younger) starts at 10:30 a.m.
