Pistons' Rodney Stuckey scores 15 points after 3-game absence - Detroit Free Press

The Pistons are finally on the mend.

Point guard Rodney Stuckey was the latest to return to the lineup in Thursday's 99-94 victory over Washington at the Palace. After missing the previous three games with a sore left hamstring, Stuckey came off the bench and scored 15 points in 18:46.

"Feeling good, feeling good," Stuckey said before the game. "We'll just see how it feels. I'll just come off the bench and pretty much see how it feels. But I feel fine. I've been working out ... doing two-a-days and stuff like that."

Coach Lawrence Frank said Stuckey would be monitored and was only scheduled to come off the bench as a precaution because of the uncertainty of his game status.

"One (reason) is that I'm waiting for him that he's definitely a go," Frank said shortly before tip-off while Stuckey warmed up. "So I didn't want to put him in the starting lineup and then he may not go. That didn't make much sense.

"He's missed some time. So let him get his legs back, let's see where he's at and then go from there."

Shooting guard Ben Gordon returned Tuesday after he missed three games with a groin injury.

Frank is happy to have as many hands on deck as he can. He said he does not weigh the importance of games or save players.

"It's like I hate when someone says, 'Oh, if it was a playoff game, I'd play,' " Frank said. "Come on. What is that? To me, it's the same. All these games are important. They all matter.

"So if Rodney's able to play, he's going to play. If he's not able to play, then he's not playing. It's that simple, regardless of any circumstances. I don't think there should be a double standard."

GYM WORK: Hip-hop artist and Gym Class Heroes front man Travie McCoy was the half-time entertainment. Before the game he was spotted fooling around on the court and taking shots while wearing jeans and a camouflage jacket.
