Avery Bradley Confirms He Finds Three-Game, Three-Night Stretch 'Fun,' Reminds ... - NESN.com

Avery BradleyA bunch of scientists and theologians got together a few years back and agreed that playing endless hours of basketball as a teenager was the most fun thing that could ever happen in life.

You can look it up, honestly. You may not find any evidence of anyone ever actually saying such a thing, but feel free to look it up.

Anyway, Avery Bradley subscribes to that theory. That was why the second-year guard issued the surprising remark that he thought the Celtics' set of three games in three different cities in three nights would be "fun." He did not back away from that belief Saturday after the Celtics finished off the New Jersey Nets in the second leg of the back-to-back-to-back.

"We love this game," said Bradley, 21. "I feel like it's AAU days, back in high school, summer ball. I love that we have a back-to-back-to-back. I'm going to come out and bring that energy for my team. I feel like everybody's going to be ready and we're going to bring that defensive intensity [Sunday in Charlotte] as well."

Due to the NBA lockout, which was not resolved by commissioner David Stern and Players Association executive director Billy Hunter until late November, almost every team has a stretch of three road games in three days. The scheduling nightmare is grueling for seasoned players such as 17th-year veteran Kevin Garnett, who looked into a camera and facetiously said, "Thank you, David. Thank you, Billy," before the Celtics embarked on this road trip.

At least one member of the Celtics is loving this hellish stretch, although he may be alone in that regard.
